In The Life of Music – Wrap Party Pictures
“In the Life of Music Film Wrap Party” closed production at Mito Hotel on Tuesday march 15 and Socialwall was there to capture the beautiful memories. Director Caylee So was in attendance with all of the cast and crew for In the Life of Music, the only person that was not there was Co-Director Sok Visal. However he does have a valid reason not to be present at the Wrap Party, Sok Visal was in Hong Kong attending a Distribution Convention with Sabay Media. Nonetheless, he has been very supportive and was there in spirit.
Director Caylee So spent 5 month in Cambodia starting December 2015, the first 2 month she stayed at Mito Hotel to plan production. Filming began in mid January at Kampong Chhnang, Mito Hotel Phnom Penh, Prey Veng and a few other provinces. The filming finish by late February and come March, was the biggest Wrap Party to hit Phnom Penh.
The night kick off with some appetizer from MCafe, drinks were served all around. Yes, it was certainly a special night, cast and crews reunited for one last toast until the launch of the film. Expect to be completed in September 2016, dates may change to schedules. A lot of photos were taken at HOU at Mito Hotel, at about half way through the event. Director Caylee So thanks all of her cast, crews and those that attended the Wrap Party. Without any warning, she made an announcement regarding an unofficial trailer made by Co-Director Sok Visal will be screen.
Everyone gather, the light became dark and the projector started to light the screen. The music came on….
Oh Battambang, the centre of my heart, It was hard to say goodbye
Since the day I’ve been away from you, I worry and think about every time
Oh Battambang, the cycle of my destiny, I can’t stop missing you
If you were my spouse’s previous life, may you not forget our past time
It’s been long time ago, do you remember? You are my breath
To you I always hope, smile and hope to be yours
Oh Battambang, since long time I wanted you When will I see you again? I feel sad everyday, because of wanting Champa Battambang…
At last, their hard work was show at the mere glimpse of 2 minute. Applause was heard all the way to the back of the venue. Some had tears in their eyes, holding on to the anticipation of the film In the Life of Music to be screen in Cambodian Cinema and other countries. Later live performance by Small World Small Band, who was in Chapter 1, along with Artist Soria Oung and Sai.
The night was filled with laughter and for some sadness. Director Caylee So has spent 5 month living in Cambodia and now it’s time for her to return to America. Nonetheless, for every greeting, there will always be a goodbye. Until the next time, HOU at Mito is a place you can keep the memories alive.
